Energy Gateway South Transmission Line

Owner

PacifiCorp

Location

Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah

The Energy Gateway South project included construction of a new 416-mile, 500kV transmission line connecting Medicine Bow, Wyoming, to an area just outside Provo, Utah.

Winco completed 413 miles of conductor installation across remote and rugged terrain, logging 6,407 flight hours. Using specialized helicopters and advanced tension-stringing techniques, the team executed precise aerial wire installation while minimizing extensive ground access and reducing terrain disturbance.

Winco’s coordinated aerial approach helped maintain production through difficult access areas while reducing the need for ground crews and equipment in hazardous terrain.
